Tanto el miedo como la ansiedad facilitan la supervivencia y a menudo son adaptativos. Como tal<b>, muchos de los miedos y las ansiedades <\/b><b>est\u00e1n relacionados con situaciones esperadas en nuestro desarrollo, por ejemplo, enfrentarse a desconocidos cuando somos peque\u00f1os\/as, ingresar a la universidad, o rendir un examen.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Los trastornos de ansiedad forman uno de los grupos m\u00e1s comunes de trastornos de salud mental y generalmente comienzan antes o al principio de la edad adulta. <b>Las caracter\u00edsticas centrales incluyen miedo y ansiedad excesivos, s\u00edntomas f\u00edsicos, as\u00ed tambi\u00e9n la evitaci\u00f3n de las amenazas percibidas.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Los miedos y las ansiedades <b>pueden requerir atenci\u00f3n de un profesional de la salud cuando son desproporcionados en relaci\u00f3n con una amenaza, son severos y duraderos, o interrumpen el funcionamiento normal afectando la calidad de vida.<\/b>[\/vc_column_text][toggles style=&#8221;minimal&#8221;][toggle color=&#8221;Default&#8221; heading_tag=&#8221;default&#8221; heading_tag_functionality=&#8221;default&#8221; title=&#8221;\u00bfA qui\u00e9n afecta?&#8221;][vc_column_text]Los trastornos de <b>ansiedad implican una disfunci\u00f3n en los circuitos cerebrales que responden al peligro, pudiendo afectar a cualquier persona<\/b>. El riesgo de presentar\/padecer trastornos de ansiedad est\u00e1 influenciado por factores gen\u00e9ticos, factores ambientales y la interrelaci\u00f3n entre ambos.<\/p>\n<p>Es com\u00fan que los trastornos de ansiedad se presenten en conjunto con otros trastornos, especialmente en la depresi\u00f3n y en trastornos som\u00e1ticos o corporales. A esto se le conoce como <i>comorbilidad<\/i> y es frecuente en algunos s\u00edntomas y trastornos de salud mental.<\/p>\n<p><b>\u00bfC\u00f3mo saber si tengo un trastorno de ansiedad?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Algunos s\u00edntomas propios de los trastornos de ansiedad son:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preocupaci\u00f3n excesiva<\/li>\n<li>Palpitaciones<\/li>\n<li>Inquietud<\/li>\n<li>Fatigarse f\u00e1cilmente<\/li>\n<li>Temblores<\/li>\n<li>Sensaci\u00f3n de asfixia<\/li>\n<li>Sudoraci\u00f3n<\/li>\n<li>Dolor en el pecho<\/li>\n<li>N\u00e1useas<\/li>\n<li>Mareos<\/li>\n<li>Parestesias (entumecimiento u hormigueo)<\/li>\n<li>Problemas de concentraci\u00f3n<\/li>\n<li>Irritabilidad<\/li>\n<li>Trastornos del sue\u00f1o<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>No basta con tener uno de estos s\u00edntomas para presentar un trastorno de ansiedad. Es importante considerar la intensidad de estos, el tiempo de duraci\u00f3n y en especial cu\u00e1nto afectan la vida cotidiana de una persona, puedes revisar la tabla de los trastornos de ansiedad m\u00e1s comunes y sus criterios a cotinuaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Existen diferentes tipos de trastornos de ansiedad. <b>Te presentamos una tabla que sintetiza la informaci\u00f3n centra<\/b>l respecto a los trastornos de ansiedad m\u00e1s comunes entre la comunidad estudiantil. Afecta la esfera social, educativa y laboral.<br \/>\nPor ejemplo: Evitar situaciones o consumir sustancias para bajar la ansiedad.<\/td>\n<td>Existen comportamientos que afectan la esfera social, educativa y laboral.<br \/>\nPor ejemplo: Cambios en la rutina generados solo por el temor.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><b>Duraci\u00f3n requerida de los s\u00edntomas<\/b><\/td>\n<td>M\u00e1s de 6 meses<\/td>\n<td>M\u00e1s de 6 meses<\/td>\n<td>M\u00e1s de 1 mes<\/td>\n<td>M\u00e1s de 6 meses<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/toggle][toggle color=&#8221;Default&#8221; heading_tag=&#8221;default&#8221; heading_tag_functionality=&#8221;default&#8221; title=&#8221;\u00bfQu\u00e9 puedo hacer para cuidarme y regular la ansiedad?&#8221;][vc_column_text]A continuaci\u00f3n, te presentamos algunas recomendaciones para prevenir, regular y canalizar la ansiedad.<\/p>\n<p><b>Hacer<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Conecta con otros\/as y comparte<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong> El apoyo social, el encuentro f\u00edsico y emocional otorgado por familiares y amigos, se asocia con el bienestar emocional y la reducci\u00f3n de la ansiedad.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Duerme lo suficiente.<\/strong> La falta de sue\u00f1o puede contribuir a los problemas de ansiedad, porque la falta de sue\u00f1o es un estr\u00e9s para su cuerpo.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Come saludablemente.<\/strong> Haga todo lo posible por comer una dieta saludable, quiz\u00e1s no siempre puedas mantener una dieta del todo saludable, pero puedes ayudarte pensando en tu alimentaci\u00f3n de la semana y planificando cuando te sea posible.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Haz suficiente ejercicio.<\/strong> A lo largo de la mayor parte de la historia humana, los seres humanos se movieron durante la mayor parte del d\u00eda. En nuestra sociedad moderna, somos en gran parte sedentarios, lo que est\u00e1 desequilibrado con las condiciones originales en las que evolucionamos. Haga todo lo posible por caminar o pararse siempre que sea posible, en lugar de sentarse. Haga todo lo posible para obtener al menos 30-60 minutos al d\u00eda de caminata u otro ejercicio.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Aprende a meditar y practica mindfulness.<\/strong> Se ha demostrado que la pr\u00e1ctica de la atenci\u00f3n plena, que consiste en aprender a centrar la mente en el presente y eliminar los pensamientos que distraen y provocan ansiedad, es una poderosa intervenci\u00f3n para la ansiedad. Tambi\u00e9n puede ayudar el yoga y c\u00f3mo respirar y meditar.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Aprende sobre estrategias de afrontamiento<\/strong>\u00a0para la ansiedad, tales como:\n<ul>\n<li>Identifica los pensamientos de preocupaci\u00f3n que te provocan ansiedad. Reemplaza esos pensamientos de preocupaci\u00f3n con pensamientos m\u00e1s \u00fatiles.<\/li>\n<li>Si te sientes preparado\/as, puedes probar a exponerte gradualmente y con todos los cuidados que requieras, a las situaciones temidas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Evitar<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Intenta no aislarte de quienes te quieren y se preocupan por ti. <\/b>Aun cuando sea dif\u00edcil, prueba a mantenerte conectado de una forma que te sea posible, sin provocarte aumentos de la ansiedad.<\/li>\n<li><b>Evita generar h\u00e1bitos de sue\u00f1o que pueden resultar da\u00f1inos<\/b> si se mantienen en el tiempo, como mantenerse despierto toda la noche.<\/li>\n<li><b>Evita el consumo regular de dietas ricas en alimentos procesados<\/b> o comidas r\u00e1pidas que pueden contribuir a problemas de humor y ansiedad.<\/li>\n<li><b>Evita el sedentarismo radical, o la falta total de ejercicio<\/b>. Incluso peque\u00f1os cambios pueden ayudar a establecer una rutina que ayude en tu regulaci\u00f3n emocional.<\/li>\n<li><b>Evita ignorar tu cuerpo y sus necesidades,<\/b> a veces puede ser dif\u00edcil conectar con el cuerpo cuando te sientes ansioso\/a.
